Former FTX Executive Ryan Salame Pleads Guilty in Crypto Exchange’s Collapse
Former FTX executive Ryan Salame on Thursday became the fourth associate of company founder Sam Bankman-Fried to plead guilty to criminal charges tied to the collapse of the crypto exchange. At a hearing in a New York federal court, Salame admitted to conspiring to make illegal political contributions, as well as conspiring to operate an unlicensed money transmission business. The guilty plea places additional pressure on Bankman-Fried as he prepares to fight fraud charges in a coming trial.
